Comprising Tsavo East and Tsavo West, the Tsavo is the largest game park in East Africa and was home to the man-eating lions that frustrated efforts to construct the so-called Lunatic Line (Kenya-Uganda railway). Tsavo boasts of beautiful scenery, abundant game, and a rich colonial history.
It is here that after many tense but patient nights, Col. Patterson finally managed to shoot down the lionesses that had been killing and eating his railway workers.
You will walk on the Tsavo Bridge that has an interesting World War 1 history, and see Lord Lugard's falls on the Galana River. The nearly extinct maneless lion still roams the Tsavo and will be interesting to catch a glimpse of.
Day 1: Nairobi
Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport airport, Nairobi. You will be met by an Africa1900Safaris representative, and checked into a city hotel for rest and acclimatization.
Day 2 & 3,: Tsavo East
Tsavo East: After an energizing breakfast, we leave by road for Tsavo East, South-East of Nairobi. The 5-and-a-half hour journey takes us through Kamba and Maasai country. The former were famous for their poisoned arrows while the latter are renowned warriors. The route also offers you a chance to see the Yatta plateau, created out of the world's longest lava flow – all 290 kilometers of it. You will arrive in time for lunch.
Day 4 & 5: Tsavo West
Tsavo West: Lying across the main highway from Nairobi to the coastal city of Mombasa, Tsavo West has distinctive geographical features. You will discover many volcanic phenomena including the Shetani lava, volcanic caves, the Chaimu hills, and the Mzima Springs. There is also a black rhino sanctuary, and you stand a good chance of spotting leopards and lions.
Day 6: Amboseli
This day starts with a hot breakfast, then afterwards depart and head towards Amboseli National Park ,the” Land of dust” as called by the elegant and beautiful tribe of the Maasai who own this land. This remarkable savannah is jealously bordered by two natural ecosystems of Chyulu hills and the ever-imposing giant mountain of Kilimanjaro.
We arrive in time for lunch.
Later in the afternoon, we venture into wild for unrivalled game viewing. Big herds of elephants, The most studied mammal in Amboseli, are a sight to behold and impress, leaving you totally amazed as they effortlessly carry their enormous weight past your jeep with a lot of ease .Mt. Kilimanjaro at the backdrop, with stunning sunset's rays splashing on the snow-capped peaks, is another breathtaking view. Other game in Amboseli are the big cats e.g Lions, cheetahs,etc.Plain game include giraffes, zebra etc.
DAY 7; Amboseli
A wake up call at dawn followed by hot aromatic coffee or tea served at lounge or in your room on request .Afterwards meet your guide and head out for a pre-breakfast game viewing safari.In Amboseli,the ever-bubbling waters in swampy areas from the Kili's snow are not to be missed.
Multitudes of wild animals gather around these swamps to drink and graze as predators stealthily stalk their prey that appear timid and tensed. This sight is truly a heart-pounding thrill of safari in the savannah of Kenya. Likewise, Mt.Kilimanjaro will be gazing at you magnificently with its majestic peaks towering above thus making gigantic elephants look like miniatures at the backdrop of this mother nature.
Later return to lodge or camp for your steaming full breakfast.Afterwards,take time to relax around the wimming pool,or better still take a guided game walk with a resident natural expert. Enjoy your hot lunch.

DAY 8-masai mara.
Early breakfast then be transferred to Amboseli Airstrip for your flight to Nairobi Wilson Airport.
Spend 4 days in the luxurious Eco-friendly Tented Camp or Lodge overlooking the endless game-filled savannah of the Masai Mara.
Upon your arrival at Wilson Airport, you will board another flight to Masai Mara.Once here you will be met and transferred by our expertly trained guide to a luxurious Eco-friendly camp or lodge. The road transfer to the lodge, where you will be met and welcomed, is about 10mns.Our selected Camps and lodges have staff that are amongst the friendliest in Africa. Enjoy lunch at the lodge or camp before meeting your guide for tea and set out on your afternoon game viewing safari. The camps and lodges we instinctively use have some of the finest 4x4 land cruisers and Land Rovers in the Mara and the open sided vehicles give you a spectacular view of the wildlife and birdlife that enhances your photographic opportunities. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Masai Mara
Today you will be woken up early by your room steward who brings tea & coffee directly to your tent or room on request.Or you can enjoy hot steaming aromatic coffee or Kenyan tea at the lounge. Afterwards meet your guide for your early morning safari. If your safari coincides with the great wildebeest migration season(july-oct) then be ready to be a witness of this captivating natural wonder of the world that is a heart-pounding safari experience especially with the multiple river-crossings over the Mara-River and Talek-River.. Return to the lodge or camp for a delicious buffet breakfast. Later you may choose to relax around the pool or take nature walks(optional).The evening game viewing adventure continues before returning to the camp or lodge for dinner
Day 10: Masai Mara
Another early start this morning, with tea or coffee brought to your room. More safari expedition in this marvel of mother nature. Or a balloon safari will be another option to cap up your safari in Mara. Catch the endless open savannah of Africa from the air. A spectacular view of the mass movement of the migration. Flight takes roughly 1hr.After careful and safe landing, a champagne breakfast beckons at you in the wild .Zebras, giraffes etc will be among the uninvited guests. Return to the lodge or camp and later enjoy your lunch .
This afternoon you may continue with more safari or better still explore the surrounding maasai villages to discover and understand the mysteries of the elegant and beautiful tribe of the maasai whose cultures and traditions have defied modern influences. Join the traditional dancers as they do their jig ,compete with the warriors(morans) in spear-throwing event or if came along with your young ones ,visit a maasai school for that exceptional life experience. Return to camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Day of Departure
This marks the end of your stay in Masai mara. After your final morning game drive you will return for breakfast before being transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi. In Nairobi you will be met and transferred to Nairobi International Airport for your homeward flight or to your hotel for onward plans.
