"Never before has the mass movement of animals captured such imagination. It is the movement that has given the entire Mara eco-system the title “8th Wonder of the World”

Echoes of Africa

In the setting Amboseli sun, the sight of a heard of elephants raising up the volcanic dust against the backdrop of a gigantic Mt. Kilimanjaro never ceases to amaze............

Day 1 & 2:- Amboseli

All too often the herd will consist of a dominant female leading a herd of other females and young jumbos. Elephants number in their thousands in the Amboseli. For long a symbol of poachers going after trophy tusks, the elephant in its resurgent numbers has become a symbol of nature's strength. From raising the dust, shaking the ground as they run, spraying water through their trunks, to the familiar trumpeting sound, elephants are as much a part of the Amboseli eco-system as the plant and mountain features.
Enjoy the fresh, cool evening breeze at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro in the evenings.
The Amboseli remains untouched not least because of the efforts of the Maasai Moran (warrior) caste during the early expeditionary efforts of the Europeans. Joseph Thompson led one such expedition in 1883 but was repulsed by the morans.

Days 3 : Lake Naivasha
Lake Naivasha. The area is an excellent camping site, and boat rides in the evenings afford a great view of the setting sun. It is also at this time that hippos come ashore; their massive size never ceases to amaze. Bird life is also worth catching, be they day birds or birds active in the twilight.

Days 4 & 5: -Masai Mara
The Mara is extremely rich in wildlife. In the evenings, even as the day hunters retire, the night hunters begin their work. It is hear that the sounds of the wild take on significance, for where visibility is poor, sound becomes more crucial. Learn from our guides the different animal communication sounds and what they mean. Also you will spot nocturnal birds like owls and the scavengers such as hyenas.

Days 6:
Return to Nairobi after breakfast. Late afternoon lunch at a city restaurant. Later a day room (optional) or head to JKIA for your onward flight.
